Delivery Policy

In placing an order with The Edinburgh Wedding Company, you are confirming that you have read, understood and agreed with all our Terms and Conditions, including our postage and packaging guidelines, set out in accordance with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) (Amendment) Regulations (2005).

The delivery of goods ordered is subject to payment by the customer of the delivery charges specified on the checkout page.

  • Please allow up to 10 working days for orders to be dispatched.
  • Some orders containing made to order items will only be dispatched once all items are received by us – we do not stock made to order items. In these cases, an order may take more than 10 working days to be dispatched to the customer. If the customer requests us to part dispatch the order whilst we are waiting for delivery of the made to order item/s, a charge for all deliveries will be made. All made to order items will be described as such within the description for that product.
  • If instructions are left during checkout regarding where the parcel can be left in the incident that the customer cannot take receipt of the parcel, this is done so at the customers own risk.
  • Orders received after 5pm will count as being placed on the following morning. Orders placed after 5pm on a Friday will count as being placed on the following Monday morning.
  • If after a certain period of time (as set by the carrier) you have not collected your parcel from the carrier after a failed delivery attempt, it will be returned to us, following which you will need to contact us to arrange for its re-delivery. This will be chargeable.
  • The ability to purchase an item is not suspended once the product is out of stock. In the event of an out of stock item being ordered, your item/s will be marked as out of stock on your invoice and these products will be delivered to you as soon as they come in to stock at no additional postage charge. If you would prefer to cancel your item/s, please e-mail The Edinburgh Wedding Company within 7 days of receipt of your invoice for a full refund to be given. Cancellation after the date will not be refunded and the item/s will still be dispatched. If your order has already been dispatched prior to notice of cancellation being received, please follow our returns policy procedure.
  • Delivery will only be made to that address stated on your order form. Standard postage and packaging charges for all orders within mainland UK (excluding the Highlands and Islands) are as follows:
    • Under £5 = £1.95 per delivery address
    • £5.01 - £25 = £3.95 per delivery address
    • £25.01 - £75 = £6.95 per delivery address (over £50 currently Free)
    • £75.01 - £100 = £8.95 per delivery address (over £50 currently Free)
    • £100.01 - £200 = £12.95 per delivery address (over £50 currently Free)
    • £200.01+ = £15.95 per delivery address (over £50 currently Free)
  • For overseas orders, please contact us to obtain a shipping price.
  • Next day/special delivery can only be requested for those items we have in stock – prices for this service start at £10. Please enquire for further details.
  • All e-mail enquires will recieve a response within 1 working day.
     

Refunds & Returns

In placing an order with The Edinburgh Wedding Company, you are confirming that you have read, understood and agreed with all our Terms and Conditions, including our refunds and returns guidelines, set out in accordance with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) (Amendment) Regulations (2005).

  • In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, please return the item within 7 working days from the day after delivery for a full refund (Including postage and packaging costs).
  • To obtain a full refund, please return the item along with the original packaging to The Edinburgh Wedding Company, C/O Plymouth Self Storage – East, 52 Garden Close, Language Business Park, Plymouth, PL7 5EU. The original invoice/receipt must be enclosed, stating the order number, product description and reason/s for the item being returned.
  • If you would like to order replacement goods for returned items, this will be treated as a new order and as such should be made through the website in the usual way, which will include postage and packaging at the standard rate.
  • Products must be returned along with their original packaging and in their original condition in order for a full refund to be given (including postage and packaging costs).
  • We must be notified via e-mail of any damaged items or goods received due to an error on our part within 3 days of receipt of delivery. Any notification received after this period will not be valid and you will still be charged for the items, even if the items are returned within the 7 day period given. Damaged goods must be returned to The Edinburgh Wedding Company, C/O Plymouth Self Storage – East, 52 Garden Close, Language Business Park, Plymouth, PL7 5EU within 7 days, following notification to us, for a full refund to be given.
  • In those cases where products receive discount due to a ‘multi-buy offer’ and refunds are requested, you will be refunded as if the reduced quantity had been ordered e.g. if 10 packs are ordered with 20% discount and 9 packs are subsequently returned, a refund will be given for the 10 pack cost (including discount) less the full single pack cost.
  • Refunds will not be issued for the following items (unless a best before date/use by date applies and item received after date passed) – all perishable goods including food and cameras and all made to order products.
  • The order of made to order items can also not be cancelled – refunds will only be given if item is found damaged upon receipt.
  • Please note that our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
  • Refunds will not be made following goods being damaged or lost during return transit. Please ensure all items returned are wrapped securely and that you obtain and keep proof of postage or use a delivery method where a signature is required.
